Your views sought on States Members’ pay

States Members’ remuneration is currently £46,600 across the board, with no difference in wages between Deputies, Constables or Senators.

And pay remains the same no matter whether elected officials have a ministerial portfolio, sit on Scrutiny Panels that act as a review bodies, or take on no extra political responsibilities.

The level of wages for those in office remains a controversial topic, but now Islanders are being asked to submit their views to the States Members Remuneration Review Body, which is looking into the matter.

Anyone who would like to submit their views to the States Members Remuneration Review Body can email smrrb@gov.je, or write to SMRRB, c/o States Greffe, Morier House, Halkett Place, St Helier, JE1 1DD. The closing date for submissions is Friday 11 November.
