B&Q apply to open on nine Sundays

The company has applied for planning permission to open on nine Sundays a year, and planning officers are recommending that the request be allowed.

However, at least four neighbours have objected to the plans, arguing that allowing the extended opening hours would bring more noise and disruption to the area.

Deputy Jackie Hilton put forward the same objections in a letter to Planning after speaking to constituents.
