Jersey Post says it is now looking at opening a new outlet in the area after receiving notice from Costcutter that it would be closing the Bagatelle Parade shop on 30 October, when its lease expires.
Costcutter was unable to confirm yesterday whether there would be any job losses from the shop closure.
Tim Brown, chief executive of Jersey Post, said that they were looking into opening another post office at Five Oaks and that he would like to hear from anyone who might be able to provide a site in the area.
