Constable in move to put pedestrians before cars

Road safety in St Helier has been thrown into sharp focus since the death of three-year-old Clinton Pringle days after he was hit by a van near the Millennium Town Park on 27 June.

Mr Crowcroft said that a number of areas in the parish needed to be reviewed to improve pedestrian safety.

The call comes as St Helier Roads Committee, chaired by Mr Crowcroft, announced that they would be commissioning an independent safety review of the area around Millennium Town Park and Gas Place following the accident.
