Jayden goes on the run for others despite heart defect

Jayden Corley was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a heart defect which means that his blood does not carry enough oxygen.

He underwent open heart surgery when he was just seven days old.

The condition has affected his whole life and left him struggling to play sport, and he will need to undergo heart surgery again in the future.

Now the Haute Vallée pupil has set himself a challenge to raise more than £2,000 for Jersey’s branch of the British Heart Foundation. Jayden aims to complete a number of challenges over the next year, starting this Sunday at the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon, when he will take part in the 3k Fun Run.
