Minister hits back over criticism of bay plans

St Brelade’s Working Party split up last week after claiming that planning guidance proposals did not match previously agreed plans for the area, and blamed the Environment Department for derailing the process.

Former chairman Moz Scott claimed that the department had failed to implement strategies to protect the landscape.

She added that proposals for the area put before the group which they had been asked to comment on and help to develop were not what had been approved by the States as part of the Island Plan, which sets planning policy.
