Swissport staff picketed outside the main vehicle entrance to the Airport in St Peter and held banners, some of which read: ‘I support Swissport baggage handlers strike.’
Arrivals and departures at the Airport remained largely unaffected by the action, with Swissport having put contingency plans in place to keep any disruption to a minimum.
The strike involved 37 staff employed by the international company to work at Jersey Airport, around 20 of who turned out for the picket.
