States offer web pension forms

The new application process is part of the £20 million eGov programme and its introduction follows a three-month trial which Social Security Minister Suzie Pinel said had been favourably received by those who took part.

Computers have been installed at the department’s reception in La Motte Street where a member of staff is available to help anyone without computer skills, or who does not have access to a computer at home, to complete the new form.

Other Social Security services which have already gone online include applying for Back to Work training programmes and informing the department when a business has ceased trading.
