Postal vans power to a greener future

The company this week unveiled the initiative, which has been supported by Jersey Electricity, as part of an ongoing process to upgrade its operation.

The 15 Nissan ENV200 vehicles are due to replace some of the business’s existing vans from its 110-strong fleet, with the switch reducing Jersey Post’s carbon footprint by about 35 tonnes a year.

It marks the start of a ‘decarbonisation’ push that will also see other diesel vehicles replaced with electric vans as they come to the end of their four-year warranty.
