Driving offences may land rugby star in jail

The Samoan international, who played for the Jersey rugby team in their 23-17 win over Worcester Warriors on Saturday, was first arrested in the early hours of Sunday.

The Magistrate’s Court was told by Centenier Paul Huelin that officers stopped Otto’s car in Belmont Road at about 1.30 am after they had seen him drive on the wrong side of the road in Bath Street a few minutes earlier.

He undertook a roadside breath test as he admitted having had four beers but it showed he was not over the limit, but a background check revealed that he had been banned from driving in December last year.
