Island house prices now double the UK average

The average price in Jersey has risen to £454,000 – more than twice the £211,000 a UK buyer might expect to spend – according to data compiled by the States Statistics Unit.

It means that the Island’s house prices are similar to those in London and higher than in Guernsey.

The figures also show that the seasonally adjusted average house price for the previous quarter were seven per cent higher than at the same time last year.
