A queue of customers yesterday snaked through the Elizabeth Harbour terminal to the reservations desk as the journey to Poole via Guernsey was cancelled at the last minute after one of the Condor Liberation’s engines shut down due to a faulty fuel system.
Tuesday’s sailings have already been cancelled as the Liberation has been taken out of service so the fault can be repaired.
The ship had been on its way to Guernsey when the issue was discovered.
