Jersey composer’s environmental symphony earns standing ovation

One Home: An Environmental Symphony, a large scale work written for choir and orchestra, was performed by the Prague Symphonic Ensemble and the Ensemble Villars-sur-Glane.

The theme of the piece is one which is close to the composer’s heart and had the backing of the Climate Coalition.

The piece was commissioned in September 2015 and Mr Mauleverer decided he wanted the work to be on a symphonic scale for large orchestra and choir. The environmental theme was already forming in his mind as he had been on a climate change march in London the year before and the UN climate change conference in Paris was due to take place that December.
