Condor starts service review early after its ‘difficult year’

Paul Luxon, chief executive of Condor, said that the consultation had been due to be held in 2017 as part of the ferry firm’s first comprehensive service review but that it had been brought forward because of the ‘difficult year’ the operator faced in 2015.

The review, which is part of Condor’s operating agreement with the governments of Jersey and Guernsey, has three main areas:

*?Identifying the strategic needs of the Channel Islands in terms of the provision of ferry services;

* Assessing how the services provided meet those strategic needs – for example, price or service structure;

*?Reviewing the company’s performance under the operating agreement.
