CI’s EU trade deal raised with UK PM

Chief Minister Ian Gorst and his counterparts in the two other Crown Dependencies – Guernsey and the Isle of Man – have written to David Cameron outlining their position following last week’s shock vote for Britain to leave the EU.

The letter, which was also signed by Guernsey’s Gavin St Pier and Allan Bell of the Isle of Man, says that Mr Cameron’s comments this week that he would engage with the Crown Dependencies during the coming renegotiations were ‘noted’ and continued co-operation between the UK and the islands would be ‘essential’ following the Brexit vote.
