JT decision ‘good for competition’

On Thursday, the regulator ruled that JT’s current policy risked damaging competition and could ‘choke off’ its rivals.

The telecoms firm now has two months to submit new prices to the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CICRA) or face a fine.

Following an investigation, CICRA found that JT, which charges its rivals for broadband access, has a pricing structure which prevents other firms from competing effectively.
