Nursery cuts debate

A proposition lodged by Deputy Montfort Tadier has called for the cuts, which were announced by Education Minister Rod Bryans earlier this year, ‘not to be implemented’.

During a sitting due to begin on Tuesday, States Members will also be asked to approve a proposition to allow Andium Homes and Ports of Jersey to remove illegally parked vehicles from their land – neither body have been able to enforce such restrictions since previously States-owned land was transferred to their ownership after they were privately incorporated.

And a vote is due to be taken on whether planning restrictions on the old Sounds Workshop site in La Motte Street, which currently allow it only to be used for child education, should be removed so that the area can be converted into a new States office block.
