A freedom of information request by the JEP has shown that in 2015, the States police conducted 1,745 inquiries in which evidence was gained from body-worn cameras.
In total since its pilot scheme in 2013, there have been 2,468 cases in which footage was taken from the cameras and used as evidence.
This figure is made up of two cases in 2013, 74 in 2014, 1,745 in 2015 and 647 so far this year.
