During States question time on Tuesday, Deputy Kevin Lewis asked Senator Green to confirm whether residents who have had to leave the recently closed home would have to pay their own GP bills at their new residence, while at The Limes, their bills were paid for them.
The minister confirmed that this was the case, but said that residents receiving long-term care benefits would receive support with their bills.
Deputy Lewis said that there had been confusion over this issue among the residents, who he said had been under the impression that their GP bills would still be paid and in response, the Health Minister apologised for any confusion.
