Heathrow on Monday launched an election-style manifesto in which it promised to boost connections with regional airports not currently served by internal flights.
The plan is one of a number of ideas put forward by airport bosses as part of a charm offensive designed to win support to build a third runway.
It also gives a further boost to the possibility that Islanders could once again fly directly to Heathrow which links to scores of airports across the Middle-East, Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. The former link between Jersey and Heathrow ended in 2009.
