Islands to join forces on education?

The ministers say they will also lobby Cambridge University in an effort to ensure that students from the Crown Dependencies are charged the same as British students rather than the much larger overseas student fees they currently face.

At present, Cambridge University and Imperial College do not recognise students from the three islands as ‘home students’.

Meanwhile, there are also plans to offer inter-island studying between the three jurisdictions, for example sending Jersey students to the Isle of Man, which offers a broader range of engineering courses than what is available in the Island.
