Go-ahead for development of hotel site

At a Planning Applications Committee meeting held at St Paul’s Centre yesterday, proposals submitted by developer Dandara to replace the hotel with 25 new accommodation units were approved by all seven members.

The hotel closed its doors last summer and Dandara, which owns the Rue à Don plot, will now build one apartment block with 18 two- and three-bedroom flats, and separate to that, seven three- and four-bedroom cottages.

The proposals received one letter of support and five objections and the plans.
