£444,000: The rising price of an average Jersey home

Property prices in Jersey have increased by two per cent year on year, analysis by the States’ Statistics Unit has found, with the average cost of properties considerably more expensive than in the UK.

The average price of a house in Jersey has risen from £437,000 in the first quarter of 2015 – January, February and March – to £444,000 across the same period this year.

There has also been an eight per cent increase in the number of homes sold in Jersey – from 260 in the first quarter of 2015 to 280 in the first quarter of this year, and compared with the UK and Guernsey, properties in Jersey are, on average, more expensive.
