Charity to train teachers on gender identity issues

Liberate is partnering with UK charity Educate & Celebrate to deliver a day of training in September on LCBTQ – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning – inclusion for secondary school teachers and it is now appealing for sponsorship to help run that event, and a number of other initiatives planned for 2016.

This year’s Channel Islands Pride event is due to take place in September, closing in Guernsey on 10 September and in Jersey a week later and both islands will host a Pride parade through the streets of their respective capitals as part of the event, which was held in Jersey last year for the first time.

This year’s Pride parade will once again be sponsored by the Channel Islands Co-operative Society, however, Liberate still needs further sponsorship for a number of initiatives in 2016.
