Guest house to break ‘link to terrorists’

The Villa Isis in St Helier has become Villa Nova following the decision, which staff said had been taken to avoid any potentially negative links for the 19-bed business.

Daniel Pedersen, of Villa Nova, said that the guest house had originally been named in 1954 but that it was now time for a change.

According to Mr Pedersen, the business had not experienced a drop in business or negative comments following the rise of the terror group after the word has come to be linked with militant extremists who have assembled under the general name of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and its associated acronym.
