GALLERY: Thousands flock to town for a sunkissed boat show

Large crowds were drawn to the Weighbridge and the Harbour under sunny skies to enjoy the show’s dozens of exhibits, stalls and demonstrations.

Official figures are still unknown but organisers were expecting around 30,000 to attend over the bank holiday weekend.

Among the vessels on display was HMS Severn, a 79-metre offshore patrol vessel, which was open to the public at the Albert Pier, and the Gipsy Moth IV, the famous yacht in which the late Sir Francis Chichester sailed around the globe in 1966.
