Charity: Listen to child victims in abuse cases

Earlier this week Nicholas Price Marvin was found guilty of four counts of indecent assault on two children – including one who was aged three when the abuse started – following a seven-day Assize trial in the Royal Court.

Speaking about the conviction of Marvin, the NSPCC said: ‘For too long, victims remained fearful of the consequences of breaking their silence. In this case, Marvin’s victims spoke up and, despite the amount of time that had passed, they were listened to. It is hugely important that we keep a spotlight on this horrific crime and assure victims that coming forward is the right thing to do.’

Anyone concerned about a child can contact the NSPCC helpline confidentially on 0808 800 5000.
