Jersey school marks the Queen’s 90th birthday

Pupils from Reception up to Year 8 took part in the tribute to the Queen, who was already Britain’s longest serving monarch but yesterday became the first nonagenarian sovereign.

And the children also joined together to sing Her Majesty happy birthday.

Senior deputy headmaster Lenny McAviney said the school had organised a similar tribute for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
