The Jersey in Transition Sustainable Transport Group has come up with a proposal for how the bus would work, which they envisage would service all the major car parks in town, amenities such as the library, the Hospital and the post office, visitor and tourist attractions, as well as the ferry terminal.
Following the demise of the Island’s hopper bus several years ago, reintroducing the service has remained a popular suggestion among members of the public and politicians.
And the group are currently discussing their recommendations with officials in the parish as well as States Members.
