This week improvements to nursing and midwifery care in Guernsey were shown to the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Jersey midwives continue to provide support to their colleagues as and when it is required – an arrangement that has been in place for around a year.
For six months before that, Jersey midwives provided round-the-clock supervisory support on the ground in Guernsey and the council visited Guernsey in November to follow up on progress made since its extraordinary review that led to those criticisms in October 2014.
