Tony Blyth (69) was walking his dog at Le Hocq when he spotted the shellfish, which is about 10.5 inches long.
The Bel Royal resident, who enjoys fishing in his spare time, said he had never seen such a large oyster, adding that he planned to enjoy it raw.
He said he made the discovery while walking his border collie, Gunner, last week.
