Football big name buys Jersey home

Mr Peace, who has been the largest shareholder in the Baggies since 2002, oversaw the club’s promotion into the top flight of English football in 2004.

The 59-year-old, who also owns a home in London, is currently trying to sell his share in the club and recently came close to selling to a Chinese consortium in a £150 million deal.

It is not known where his new property is in the Island or how much it cost, but Mr Peace follows in the footsteps of several other high-profile football club owners who have bought houses in Jersey, including former Blackburn Rovers chairman and steel magnate Jack Walker, former Rangers chairman Sir David Murray, who owned a home in St Brelade until 2005, and ex-Wolves owner Steve Morgan, who bought Trinity Manor in 1994.
