Durrell expert in line for global award

Dr Carl Jones, chief scientist at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and scientific director of the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation Durrell Wildlife, is one of six finalists for the 2016 Indianapolis Prize.

He has spent more than 30 years saving species which are on the brink of extinction, including related species of the dodo.

The winner of the award will be announced in the spring and will be honoured at the Indianapolis Prize Gala on 15 October.
