Super-rich immigrants spent £90m on property in 2015

In 2015 20 new high-value residency licences, formerly known as 1(1)ks, were granted – the same number as in 2014 – and they will pay at least £2.5 million in income tax per year.

Thirty-four licences for businesses relocating to Jersey were approved during the year, creating 250 jobs – 81 per cent of which were filled by local people.

The figures have been published by Locate Jersey, which is responsible for inward investment and high-value residency within Economic Development and in 2015 launched a new website to promote the Island overseas, which has now been viewed by thousands of people from 150 countries.
