The Save People’s Park Group last week accused the Council of Ministers and the Future Hospital team of trying to steer public opinion towards the development of the park by manipulating how online information about the different proposed sites had been presented.
In an open letter addressed to Senator Andrew Green, the group claimed that the futurehospital.je website was rigged so that the image of the People’s Park development always appeared first on its homepage and every time the site was shared on social media, and that a lack of detail was available on each of the four proposed sites, including the cost of purchasing compensatory green space if the People’s Park is used.
Now, Senator Green has written an open letter to the group in response to their claims, which says that there was no intention to influence the public through the positioning of images and text on the futurehospital.je website and social media and that the website has now been adjusted so no apparent bias is shown.
