However, school fees, postal charges and telephone charges rose five per cent during 2015, while housing costs rose by two per cent with rents increasing across the public and private sectors.
The figures were released on Friday in the Jersey Retail Price Index Report.
A large fall in domestic fuel prices, as well as decreases in the prices of leisure goods, motoring and food helped keep the RPI low.
