Richard Clark appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday after Customs and Immigration officers discovered around 31 kg of cannabis hidden in a vehicle that had arrived in the Island by ferry.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw declined jurisdiction during the short hearing on Monday. Mr Clark, who was remanded in custody, will next appear in the Magistrate’s Court on 15 February.
A statement from the Customs and Immigration Service said: ‘On Friday 15 January Customs and Immigration Officers examined a vehicle that had arrived in the Island from Poole having disembarked from the Condor ferry.’
