Driving theory test fees going up as TTS look to raise extra funds

Charges will go up on average by 2.5 per cent for many of the department’s services, including waste disposal, vehicle registration, recycling and animal slaughter.

The largest increase will be for the category C and D driving theory test, which is for lorries and passenger-carrying vehicles.

The price will rise from £30.90 to £40 as the test is expanded to include more questions, bringing it into line with UK and EU standards.
