Sundays are key to success, retailers told

Eliot Lincoln, who runs business transformation advisers Greenlight in Caledonia Place and is also vice-chairman of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce, says that existing business models will be out of date within the next five years, although there are opportunities in a captive market such as Jersey.

Guernsey’s States agreed earlier this month to deregulate Sunday trading – a move that has been welcomed by many retailers operating there.

Mr Lincoln has recently stepped up to chair the Chamber’s digital business sub-committee, which he hopes will be able to help members to keep abreast of new developments and understand how they can make use of technology in a global environment.
