His remarks came the day after hundreds of Islanders turned out to protest against the construction of Jersey’s International Finance Centre.
Senator Maclean tweeted twice about the issue, explaining that the whole purpose of the JDC was to ‘develop publicy owned land for the benefit of islanders’ and also pointing out that the project was taking place in stages.
Around 700 protestors gathered on Sunday to complain about the ongoing finance centre project, with their complaints focusing on the use of public money and accusing States Members of failing to listen to them.
