GALLERY: Spice Festival

The Spice Arts and Music Festival was held at Grouville Common on Saturday and Sunday and organiser Bianca Padidar said the response to the event had been ‘fantastic’.

She said: ‘We have had really good feedback and we feel there’s something for everyone here – it’s a really good family event.

‘Our aim is to promote different arts, local produce and local businesses – anything to do with the creative arts.’

Ms Padidar organised the event with fellow art teacher Sarah Jordan.

The non-profit free event included art workshops, such as an animation studio, a Festival of Words tent, and a mini-theatre.

It also featured live music, a yoga tent, an eastern medicine stall, a portrait booth, arts and crafts vendors and five bouncy castles.

Spice is supported by the Genuine Jersey Products Association, whose chief executive John Garton said it was very popular with the members who take part.
