Magistrate’s Court evacuated again following second bomb threat

The building was evacuated at about 10.45 am, with people being asked to gather in Parade Gardens.

Police have been called to the scene.

It comes after the building was closed for several hours yesterday after the States police received a bomb threat.

Nothing suspicious was found.

In a statement on yesterday’s threat, a States police spokeswoman said: ‘We consider all threats to be very serious.

‘The safety of our community is our top priority and thankfully, no explosive devices were located during the search of the building.

‘The States of Jersey Police would like to thank the public for their support and understanding during this incident.’

Anyone with information is being asked to phone the States police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111
