For some years there have been calls to alter what has been branded as a ‘socially divisive system’ and to reconsider the 14-plus arrangement.
And although the newly appointed Education Minister, Rod Bryans, says there could be changes in the pipeline, he says there will be no ‘radical moves’ in the short term.
