More than 400 attend Co-op meeting about job losses

Islanders Jasen Cronin and Philip Johnson later lodged a petition citing concerns over job losses and food security – and gained enough signatures to force the Co-op board to explain its decision at a meeting of shareholders.

The meeting was attended by about 400 shareholders, with so many people turning up that they had to queue to get inside.
