Royal responsibility in the UK

Michael Day has been chief executive of Historic Royal Palaces since he left Jersey in 2003. Every year, four million people visit the sites run by Historic Royal Palaces: the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, the Banqueting House at Whitehall and, most recently, Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.
