Restaurant owners’ fury at ‘out of date’ star-rating system

Meanwhile, one restaurant that was named and shamed as having Jersey’s only zero-star rating was reclassified as three stars just one day later, after the owner asked inspectors to come back following negative publicity that the guide created.

Antonia Cooke, who runs the Pure Charity Coffee Shop in the Central Market, said the rating that she was given is unfair and potentially damaging to the business, which raises money for Jersey Hospice and Brighter Futures.
