Just five – Deputy John Young, Reform Jersey’s Anne Southern, David Richardson, Chris Magee and Deputy Andrew Green – said in answer to a question from David Cabot that the Constables should have no automatic right to sit in the Assembly.
Senator Sarah Ferguson said she was currently undecided and Jersey’s first Polish election candidate Konrad Kryszynski chose not to answer the question.
There was standing room only at Grouville Parish Hall as around 130 people turned out for the opening of the Senatorial roadshow.
