Former Guernsey Harbourmaster Peter Gill said ‘They were found with beer on the dashboard and more beer unopened in the boat. The lifeboat was out from 2 pm until 8.05 pm on Monday and the second call-out was demoralising, when you get back and think, I have wasted my life rescuing a pair of idiots.’
