Jersey’s only female Senator, Sarah Ferguson, will be standing for re-election. She has been a States Member since 2002 and is currently the chairman of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel and has previously served as the vice-chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.
Serving St Clement Deputy Susie Pinel (56) who is standing for re-election, says that she will put her knowledge from the last three years to good use for her parish and Jersey if she is successful at the polls.
‘Rocketman’ Terry McDonald has announced he is standing for election as Deputy in St Saviour No 3. The 64-year-old hit the headlines in 2007 after his world-record firework launch attempt collapsed, but the Jersey-born businessman, who now runs a security company, has said the experience has made him stronger and will help him in politics if elected.
