The claim was made by Deputy Geoff Southern after it was announced that some engineering and maintenance services are to be transferred from Health and Social Services to Jersey Property Holdings. JPH is taking over responsibility for specific Health properties and is entering into a agreement to provide services.
But both Assistant Treasury Minister Eddie Noel and Assistant Health Minister John Réfault have dismissed the claims, saying no public sector jobs are at risk and the changes will ease pressure on the workforce.
